DEGRAFF

Our DeGraff branch has been part of the Champaign Landmark family since 2000 when it was purchased from Terra. The branch has been located at its present site for many years and has been under various owners. It is located inside the village of DeGraff in southwestern Logan County. The branch has traditionally offered grain, fertilizer and chemical products and services. The latest expansion was completed in 2004 when two, 35,000 bushel bins were built.

DeGraff is a full service agronomy facility including seed, chemicals, fertilizer, custom application, farmer rental application equipment and our Crop Advantage Program. Bagged feed is available or can be ordered for pickup.

Agronomy

Chuck Gentis, our agronomy manager, has 22 years of experience in production agriculture products and services. He has been with Champaign Landmark for 10 years. The Logan county branch services customers as far as 35 miles to the south into Clark county through Champaign county, 20 miles north, and into western Shelby county.

  The agronomy department is staffed by four full time employees who are trained and qualified in providing custom application and handling chemicals. They represent a total of more than 20 years of experience. Each applicator receives yearly training and yearly recertification credits. They also have a Restricted Chemical License which is required to handle chemicals. All have their applicator’s license and CDL (Commercial Driver’s License); both are required in order to operate our equipment.

Grain

Steve Terry transferred to the DeGraff grain department in the summer of 2006 from the Mingo Branch where he was the grain and feed superintendent. Steve has been with Champaign Landmark since September of 2003.

Steve oversees the grain department which has:

  • 1.4 Million Bushels Handled Per Year
  • Loads 5 Rail Cars at a Time
