Our Thackery branch ...
Thackery branch was purchased from the Shepard Grain company in July of 2003. The original plant was built in the 1920’s. Otis Shepard purchased the facility in 1926. The first concrete storage was built in 1940, with additional storage built in 1953 and 1960. Thackery has a total capacity of 1.2 million bushel of grain.
Thackery is a full service grain facility. It has the ability to receive grain at any of its two dumps and four receiving pits. It can ship truck or by railroad with its 15 railcars. They can load a railcar in 25 minutes.
Manager
Steve Bricher is the branch manager and has been with Champaign Landmark since 1985. Prior to managing Thackery, he was credit manager of Champaign Landmark for 18 years.
