Re-elected

Two Board members were reelected to the Board of Directors of Champaign Landmark at the 2007 Annual Meeting held in June.

Reelected were left, Richard Grener and right, Dale Scheiderer. Elected for his first term on the Board was center, Ed Zimmerman.

Serves on Council

Brent Zimmerman is serving a four-year term on the Land O’Lakes Ag Leadership Council. Land O’Lakes, Inc. is a national farmer-owned food and agricultural cooperative with annual sales of more than $7 billion and does business in all 50 states and more than 50 countries. Champaign Landmark is a member of long standing of the cooperative.

Land O’Lakes has five ag regions and seven dairy regions in the United States. Each region is represented by a Leadership Council, ranging from 6-24 representatives on each council for a total of 157 council members.

At a meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana in December 2006, Brent was elected to his first term to the Ag Region Four Leadership Council for a four-year term. Ag Region Four is made up of 23 states in the eastern United States. Brent has been appointed to serve on the Credentials Committee.

Members serving on a Region Leadership Council perform the following functions:
  • Represent Land O’Lakes members
  • Serve as a communications link between members and Land O’Lakes
  • Promote and communicate Land O’Lakes vision and mission to members
  • Encourage grass roots involvement
  • Support Land O’Lakes through purchases and use of products/ services
Brent has been a member of the Champaign Landmark Board of Directors since 1999 and has served as secretary since 2003. Brent is a fourth-generation farmer who currently row crops 1,050 acres of corn, soybeans and wheat. Brent and his wife, Angie, live near Mechanicsburg.
