If you are just moving to the area or are changing supply companies, becoming a Champaign Landmark customer is as easy as  1,2,3.

  1. Call or stop by any location to obtain a credit application or print off web site and fax, mail or drop off.
  2. Upon approved credit, you may call for an appointment to install your tank.
  3. Select the Fill Option that will best service your needs. Depending on the fill option which you chose, your tank will be filled for your use.

Payment Options      

Budget

  • Allows the customer to spread the projected cost of their heating fuel
    over 11 months.
  • Signup for the program is in May and June.
  • The monthly budget amount is calculated by using the amount of product used the previous year and the projected cost for the product in the upcoming heating season then divided by 11. Payments starting in July.

Fixed Price Contract

  • Sign-up in June, July or August.
  • Champaign Landmark and the customer agree on a price and an amount that Champaign Landmark will sell to the customer.
  • Both Champaign Landmark and the customer must sign a contract.
  • Contract defined from October 1 through April 30 of the current year.
  • A cancellation fee of $0.20 a gallon will result for any gallons of product agreed upon in the contract not delivered to the customer.
  • Any gallons over the contract will be charged at the current market price.  

Pre Pay

  • Sign-up in June, July or August.
  • Champaign Landmark and the customer agree on a price and number of gallons that Champaign Landmark will sell to the customer.
  • Both Champaign Landmark and the customer must sign a contract.
  • The contract is defined from October 1 through April 30 of the current year.
  • The cost of the total amount of the product must be paid at time of the contract based on the agreed upon price.
  • A cancellation fee of $0.05 a gallon will not be refunded on any gallons not delivered to the customer.

Pay as You Use
Any time that you call in or if you are filled on automatic fill, the amount of product delivered will be billed directly to your account.

Home Delivery Fill Options

Automatic Fill

  • No charge for an emergency call if you run out of fuel.
  • When using this feature the driver will make regular stops to fill up the tanks, without the customer having to call in for product.
  • To assure proper delivery time, the customer is asked to help us project their usage by:
    • Keeping an eye on the first three times when product is needed
    • Provide previous fuel records

Call In

  • The customer will call the office in advance when fuel is needed.
  • Propane customers should call when tank is between 20-30%.
  • Propane tanks should never get under 5%.
  • If the customer is out of fuel and wants it right away the additional charges are:
    • Same day need - $40.00 charge/trip.
    • Evenings, weekends, and holidays - $100.00 charge/trip.
    • Grain dryers – excluded from additional charge.

What is a Champaign Landmark Key/Cardtrol Account

For many years, Champaign Landmark has offered a Key/Cardtrol system for fueling customers’ vehicles at its Fuel Plaza locations in Urbana, Richwood and Mechanicsburg. This is a convenient, custom key/card account that allows approved customers to access fuel 24/7 at these locations.

Payment Options with Key/Card:

  • Use your Champaign Key/Card and have it put on your account if it is before, during or after business hours.
  • Use any VISA or MasterCard.

How to Apply for a Key/Card Account

Come in to the desired fuel plaza location and fill out a credit application. The printable version of the Credit Application is available on this web site. If you are already a Champaign Landmark customer, have the location representative pull up your account for review.

Credit must be approved and an account must be in place before a customer obtains a key or card of his or her own.

When approved a key/card will be assigned to you and you will be shown how to use it at the pumps.

All fuel must be either paid for at the time of transaction or placed on your account. The customer has the option to pay for purchases at the time of fill-up or they can have it billed to their account.

  • If a person doesn’t have a key/card they may come into the desired location and obtain a key for that purchase.
  • Persons with an outstanding account statement may have their keys/cards turned off at the discretion of Champaign Landmark.
  • Keys/cards that are no longer in use must be returned to Champaign Landmark.
